Band of Brothers Movie Review

Genre : War | History | TV mini-series
Year Released : 2001

Band of Brothers is a HBO miniseries(10 part) produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg.

The story is focused on a 101st Airborne division paradropped behind enemy lines to assist landings at Utah beach. The series also covers landings in Normandy, Operation Market Garden, the battle of Bastogne and liberation of a German concentration camp. The events portrayed in the series are breathtaking and will engulf your attention very quickly. Despite it's total runtime is 10 hours, it does not reveals all American campaigns of northern Europe rather it features true stories of soldiers of E company (Easy company).

Another thing I liked was the camera operation of providing a first person view of diving  into foxholes and jumping behind trees. The audio and video of the series is just too good. The environment is a ear shattering with bombs exploding in all directions. The footage and interview of actual survivors and intercourse of their experience was another successful stroke of the mini series.

Overall, Band of Brothers is a fascinating story of brotherhood and a tale of ordinary men with extraordinary courage.

Robin Hood, the name defines all. A highly skilled archer in the king's army known for robbing rich and helping poor.

The movie offers a glimpse of medieval 13th century england, revealing Robin hood and his marauder leading an uprising against the king confronting corruption. Another coup for the film was the archery shown in it. Robin Longstride (Russell Crowe) have done a pretty good job. Much of the action is typical and offers nothing new. Director Ridley Scott ensures the story never becomes dull but I was expecting more from the movie because morally it was a disappointment and the plot too was different from the usual robin hood stories.

Overall, Robin Hood may not satisfy the viewers and therefore fills the bill.

Frozen Movie Review

Genre : Drama | Thriller
Director : Adam Green
Runtime : 93 min
Year Released : 2010

Frozen is a very interesting piece of work from director Adam Green.

Just like other horror films it is thrilling and unexpected and just like other horror films it is predictable too.
Certain scenes were an overdose like a pack of hungry wolves, generic characters etc.

However, the plot is simple and interesting, it's about three innocent skiers plunged into staggering circumstances and are forced to make life and death decisions. Being a calm and cool person I was left so benumbed after seeing this movie. In essence the movie is really nice and worth watching. You cannot resist this film because it leaves so much for the viewers and the appeal of the film is just awesome. Also Mr. Green does a perfect direction with excellent variety offered in the film.

Frozen is must a see film and pulls nearly everything.

This statement will sum up my feelings about Inception  "WHOA!!".

The film is full action-packed, addictive and importantly smart. I haven't seen such a cool film with weaving action and special effects. Director Christopher Nolan has done an excellent job concentrating on the plot.

The story focuses on Dom Cobb( leonardo DiCaprio ) and his team used to extract ideas from dreams, but when they are offered a nearly impossible task of inception, they accept in a flaterring way. During the mission a lot of things go wrong and they realises the confusion between reality and the dreamscape. Just like his other films christopher nolan has done a stupendous job here with a psychological concept.

In my opinion inception does a difficult thing with an original concept. However the movie is structured with action basics and a gratifying view and is a grip. Inception is the best action thriller of the year and is a must watch.

Genre : Action | Drama | War
Director : Clint Eastwood
Runtime : 141 min
Year Released : 2008

This movie has a lot to offer that will please many viewers and it looks like a tribute to an epic battle of the Pacific.

Following the storyline the director Clint Eastwood presents the untold story of a crucial WWII battle of Iwo Jima from the view of japanese soldiers. The movie is so inspiring that it will suck you emotionally and truly a refreshing plot was another overthrow. The film is action-packed with massive gun fights. No doubt that clint eastwood knows the art of presenting a world war classic.

The film is a good premiere and the action is a slam-bang. The only thing I found weak about the film was it's flat characters but presenting Japan as a sneak attack nation was simply great. If you take Letters From Iwo Jima by itself, it is a very good movie but somewhere the movie seemed boring and inspired something of a letdown.

I will personally recommend this masterpiece to all and definitely watch it if you like world war action.

Being based on a child's fantasy Nim's Island has everything that an imaginative film should contain. Grand sets and an innovative plot sets the tone for this film.

The storyline follows nim's island, a magical place ruled by a little girl's imagination, but when her father goes missing from their island a twist of sequences bring her fate together with the nature. The atmosphere captured in the film is almost perfect. Also the classy theme of the movie will please many viewers.

However, the plot of the film is somewhat raw but shines through it's way.

Remember Me Movie Review

Genre : Romance | Drama
Director : Allen Coulter
Runtime : 113 min
Year Released : 2010

I just loved the movie plot. A lot of people say that love is a hard thing and what happens when you are facing  complications all around you.

After watching this movie i personally felt that love is truly a pure feeling. As far as the storyline is concerned the movie offers decent romantic moments and dramatic events. Tyler( Robert Pattinson ) met Ally (Caitly Rund ) through his fate. Love and only love was on his mind and through their love he begins to find happiness. But the circumstances are forcing to tear them apart.

On the whole, movie is a good package and worth watching.
